getting there

map-vliegvelden

by plane

The villa is within a circle of 100kmsĀ  there are a couple of airports serviced by budget airlines. Coming from the Benelux area have a look at the lowcostairlines portal for affordable options. Although driving to Italy is possible, flying is an attractive option and not too expensive when tickets are purchased early.

map

by car

The villa is nearby Highway A4 (Milano-Venezia). You have to pay toll, which is worth doing for the time saved. If you come by plane or train, rental cars are available at all airports. Rental portals online like autoeurope, globel cars or easy terra offer very competitive rates.

stazione

public transport

There is a train station in Lonigo and public transport is available, but often poor, delayed etc. Do not expect trains or local buses to travel on time or frequently.

local infrastructure

The village Lonigo is small and not too far down the hill. You can walk from the villa. There are supermarkets, pharmacies, bakeries and butchers. Mostly closed during lunchtime until late afternoon. Larger stores are in other cities and can be reached by car in half an hour.

weather

compound

Italy is a great country and the weather in July is normally a true summer and hot. That makes the villa an ideal place to do not so much, but relax and enjoy pleasant temperatures in the morning and evening – like it’s owners hundreds of years ago did, with a fresh breeze on the hilltop.
