October 2011. LEGU sold the DesignBus. This low-threshold tool for Architectural design work has proven to work in recent years at projects in Alkmaar, Rijsenhout, Vijfhuizen and others. The new owner wants to travel to Asia with the bus. Good bye, Oscar!

September 2011. The first draft of the research on Urban Technologies is finished. Two presentations of the research are scheduled for November 2011 in Vienna and Graz.

September 2011. LEGU visits Anningahof Zwolle as subject to their research on sculpture gardens. The next lecture about this ongoing research will take place in December 2011 at DS landscape architects in Amsterdam.

August 2011. The Jap Sam Books publication ‘Woking with Architectonic DNA’ initiated by Mathias Lehner is shown in a selection of Dutch Books at the Beijing International Book Fair 2011.

August 2011. As part of the research into Urban Technologies Mathias Lehner participates in an excursion to the North of Holland, organized by Architectura et Amicitia.

July 2011. Realization of the conversion of a private apartment redesigned by LEGU is completed within budget after only a couple of weeks building time.

July 2011. LEGU is commissioned as advisor within the topic of Urban Technologies’ by Advantage Austria.

June2011. In Antwerp Mathias Lehner is appointed curator for the collection of ‘The Artists’ Hands Project’ originally set up in New York, see also www.artistshandsproject.be.

June 2011. The ongoing research by LEGU into a new form of participation in architecture has led to a interim result, a draft for an essay which can be downloaded here.

June 2011. Hageveld College in Haarlem commissions a series of educational Architectural walk in the Amsterdam Zuidas business district.

May 2011. Mathias Lehner teaches a workshop for urban planning students at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam dealing with the topics Scenario planning and Working with Objects Trouvés.

May 2011. LEGU participates in the 24hrs excursion to New York City organized by AetA as part of its permanent professional Development.

April 15th, 2011. The educational game about the Fort of Amsterdam for schools and adults which LEGU has been working on in 2009 and 2010 is ready and is presented to the public. See also deplanningthegame.nl

April, 2011. Mathias Lehner introduces the film ‘Still Life’ with a lecture on measuring in architecture at the Stalles festival at the RoodNoot farm in Utrecht.

March 25th, 2011. The Dutch Architecture Fund commissions LEGU for research on ‘participation in architecture’.

March 24th, 2011. Jointly with the client, Recreatieschap Noord-Holland, LEGU is testing the LED lights for the MainPoort on location.

March 6th, 2011. LEGU is on excursion to the Art Nouveau neighbourhood Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt, Germany.

February 21st, 2011. Jurgen Hoogendoorn, advisor at the Development Agency (OBA) of the Municipality of Amsterdam, has recommended Mathias’s work on LinkedIn: “Mathias is a good but above al pleasant chairman of the day. Engaged with the content, tight within the schedule. Knows how to conclude at the end and during the workshop.”

February 19th, 2011. Commissioned by Stichting Babel Mathias Lehner chairs the workshop ‘Babel Creative’ on the Hemmes Island in Zaandam.

February 17th, 2011. Mathias Lehner speaks about contemporary and fake historic architecture as introduction to the documentary ‘Berlin- Babylon’ (a choice of artist Matthijs Lieshout) at CBK in Utrecht.

January 25th, 2011. Mathias Lehner interviews artist Matthijs Lieshout in his installation-in-progress entitled ‘Foodprint’ at CBK in Utrecht.

January 25th, 2011. Mathias Lehner follows a course on time-management by ICW trainings.

January 17th, 2011. LEGU discusses research into economic and non-economic values of architecture with the ICAM (International Confederation of Architectural Museums) and the Austrian architecture centre AzW.

January 14th, 2011. LEGU discusses research into economic and non-economic values of architecture with the University of Technology in Vienna.
