
Exhibitions & publications
Within the years a couple of texts and (contributions to) exhibitions have been published about the work of lehner en gunther architecten.
Voor their clients however the architects also act as authors and editors. Practicing architecture means concepting, researching and detailing thematic or spatial designs until realization. lehner en gunther architecten exploit this way of architectural thinking widely and produce concepts for exhibitions and perform research for publications.
Johanna Gunther designed traveling exhibitions on architectural photography and delivered concept, texts and image editing for the Master book of the department of Interior Architecture, Knowledge and Experience of Space at the TU Delft. Also she performed research on the topic of orientation for a publication on underground spaces commissioned by Centre for Underground Building (COR).
Mathias Lehner wrote about Post-War architecture for Europan 7. He was editor of ‘Floriade 2002. Architectuur voor een seizoen’ and reviewed books for ‘De Architect’. He did research on Dutch women architects that led to an exhibition and publication. Recently he wrote about the relation between humans and architecture in the essay ‘At home in the polder. Being attached to a place’, a publication commissioned by WSF Flevoland.
