Multidisciplinary work
lehner en gunther architecten enjoys to exlpore the borders of the disipline of architecture and looks for a joint creative proces with other artistic disciplies. The example shown here is a multidiscplinary collaboration with artists for the installation entitled Welcome home.

For the national celebration of the Day of Parks in May 2006 lehner en gunther architecten designed the interior of a multidisciplinary event space. The space was situated in a park close to the village of Vijfhuizen on the top of the so-called ‘Big Spotters’ Hill’, an artificially built pyramid with a great view over the park.

In the completely dark space of approx. 400m2 a concert had to take place, next to a textile installation, a video projection and a dance performance. Next to this a part of the space was reserved for a cooking studio, resulting in smelling and tasting sensations during this Day of Parks that was an artistic experience for all senses.

Collaboration with Ayako Yoshimira, Yi Tsun, Yukiko Nezu, M. Atakosso and Harmen van Tol.
